Contraceptive Services
General advice about contraception and the contraceptive pill can be given by our family-planning trained nurses and all doctors. Intra-uterine contraceptive devices (coils) and contraceptive diaphragms can be fitted by Drs Hurst, McFarlane, Brazier, Osuagwu and Condell.
Maternity Care Services
The doctors at this surgery hold antenatal and postnatal clinics on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons. Alternatively, patients may be seen at any routine surgery session. Please inform the receptionist when making your appointment if you require a first antenatal or postnatal appointment since extra time will be required.
The community midwife attends the surgery on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. Midwives provide specialist maternity support and care to women during their pregnancy and delivery and for up to four weeks thereafter.
Health visitors work in conjunction with our doctors and nurses to carry out development checks and immunisations at the Child Health Surveillance Clinics. These are currently held on Mondays and Thursdays.
