Making An Appointment
Bennetts End Surgery offers its patients a range of GP appointment times. Whilst the doctors' rotas may vary, morning, afternoon and evening surgeries run five days a week. Appointments with the doctor are intended to address more specialised problems and, as such, continuity of care is encouraged. Routine appointments with the doctor are of 10 minutes' duration and can generally be booked up to one week in advance. Some, however, can be pre-booked up to three weeks ahead in an effort to accommodate those patients who need to plan their diaries. Please note that same-day appointments are intended for urgent matters only and may not always be available with the doctor of your choice.
On-line Booking
We are now able to offer our patients the opportunity to book and cancel appointments on-line.
Currently, this facility is restricted to doctors' appointments only as there are too many variables involved in booking appointments with our nursing team for this process to be "internet-friendly".
If you are interested in registering for this service, please ask at the Travel Clinic / Physiotherapy Reception desk for details. Please also note that certain terms and conditions apply ...
Cancellation Of Appointments
In order that we can make the best use of our resources, we greatly appreciate it when patients let us know that they are unable to attend an appointment. As we now have a dedicated text cancellation line -- 07814 442290 -- patients can text the Surgery to make cancellations. Simply text us your name, your date of birth and the date and time of your appointment and we can take it from there. Please note that this number is for cancellations only and no other messages will be answered.
The doctors are occasionally called out of Surgery to attend emergencies. When this happens, our Reception staff will inform the waiting patients and give an indication of the likely delay. It may be necessary to see another doctor or book a new appointment.
Home Visits
Requests for home visits are screened by a doctor. Home visits are very time consuming and are only made if the doctor decides that the patient is too seriously ill to travel or is housebound and needs to be seen at home.
Whenever possible, please make requests for visits between 9.00 and 11.00am as this helps the doctors to plan their work for the rest of the day.
